My mum bought me trainers for xmas but I need to exchange them for a different style. But my mum cant find the receipt can I still change them? How do they know that they came from there store

They wont change them without proof of purchase. Did your mum pay with a debit or credit card, that could be classed as proof of purchase.
Other than that, it would be a good will gesture, on their part.
So be polite x if asking for an exchange if you cant find proof of purchase, but they are under no obligation to do so.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
