Will this be ok, do you think?

I ordered a coat for my husband that he had said he liked. It arrived and I wrapped it up for him. He tried it on this morning and it is too big. They have sent a size larger than I ordered.

Anyway, they enclosed a returns label (I paid £4 to have it delivered) and will send it back on Friday. Meanwhile I went online to their site and, lo and behold, it is half price! I tried ringing but obviously nobody there till after the BH. He really liked the coat so I re-ordered it in the the original smaller size.

I am hoping I will get refunded the full price I paid (as per distance selling regs, I think) but am hoping they won't refund half the price only if they see I have re-ordered and want to cancel the original one.

I didn't want to wait to speak to someone in case the Medium size sells out meanwhile.

So, it could be a positive result for me but will have to wait and see.

If they sent the wrong size, they will need to refund your full purchase price (including the delivery cost).

The fact you've now bought another coat is irrelevant.

Sorry, that is where I should have put it. Not sure what I was thinking of. Hopefully it will be moved but thanks for your responses, much appreciated.

They'll refund the original cost - I've done this before in fact I have just seen a present I've got for my mum is now vastly reduced, so it's reordered and I'll send back the new one with the old receipt!
