Sainsburys had loads of turkey's left but they didn't reduce them at all ! I got fed up of waiting alongside a few other people....left the store at 5.55pm and they closed at 6pm......wish I'd gone to Tesco now grrrrrrrrr

Same at my local store. They didnt reduce any meat at all and even chilled ready meals omly had a few pence off. Staff told me about 4pm they werent reducing turkeys. Another shopper got well stroppy about it

As they are open boxing day, i think thats when they are more likely to reduce them, as they start to go out of date.

    Quite funny in Tesco....
Last minute Christmas shoppers rushing round grabbing Christmas bargains - meanwhile staff were busy taking all the Christmas logos/banners down.
Even stripping off the Christmas fancy strips along the fridges - as other staff were throwing more turkeys in there.

Presume they will be putting up all the boxing-day Sale banners.

Don't know where else to post this but.....
Many best wishes and thanks to all the supermarket staff, and to any reading this.
While many offices and businesses finished early today, and plenty of people heading to the shops, home or the pubs, supermarket staff I saw were still working like demons at 4, 5 and 6 o'clock today.
Even when all the Christmas stock had gone, they were still busy re-stocking shelves and ALL the staff I saw today were really in the Christmas mood.
Lots of fancy hats and Christmas Jumpers etc.
Saw dozens of examples of harrassed staff still being polite and helpful to last minute shoppers asking for the most random/obscure items and being surprised when they were often told the shop had sold out.

We often have cause to criticise sas for being moody and 'trouts' but I have to say, I thought all the staff I saw today were brilliant.:T
  • Went to Waitrose last night (just for a look) walked away with 3 turkey. One was £50 reduced to 5, one way £29 reduced to 3 and then a turkey crown for £2. Will be sharing these with family and will go far.
Paid over £30 for the Christmas day turkey at the weekend, but guaranteed if we left it to last minute would not have got any.
Will be making the annual boxing day trip to M&S to see what delights we can get this year. The freezer is cleared in preparation
