Has anyone watched this program? A bit too far for me!! People not flushing their toilet for a week, using recycled shower water when they eventually do. Wearing clothes with tags on, taking them back after a few wears. Showering fully clothed to save on washing (tags in plastic bag). Thousands of dollars in the bank but only a little table and fold down seats as furniture. Wow.

I watched it on TLC they did about 5 hours worth in one go, some things weren't too bad but the majority of it baffled my brain.0

I guess so, she used her car to drive to the gym and it would mean going every single day (I am a lazy bint so I just know I would give up lol)
I think she was on a water meter as she would only flush her toilet once a day (to get rid of the toilet tissue and #2s lol) she pee'd in a jar and put it on her compost heap.... She sniffed the pee in the bottle which made me gag, it made me wonder did she wash her hands after using the toilet etc.
Another thing she has was the houses original appliances, from the 60's which I thought was fine 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' but her friends were mortified lol.
I just remembered she had her fridge freezer on a timer, 12 hours on 12 hours off.0 -
Caught a quick look at this last night - the lady who invited her neighbours for dinner and they had to bring their own chairs ....and dished up road-killed-rabbit stew
...and the guy who needed to travel and so rang up some people that he had met once who lived near his destination and persuaded them to let him sleep on their settee for the night ..... he repaid them by providing dinner, which he made out of fish heads and carcasses
A bit extreme for me:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

The reusable cloth toilet paper made from scrap material had me. She had 6 kids and her friends mouth nearly hit the floor when she saw it lol.
In a way I can see why she does it the cost of 8 peoples bums needing biog roll must cost a fortune lol. We get through a roll a day 2adults and 2 kids but one is in nappies still so we use wipes, it's more my hubby he uses loads. So I buy the big packs of loo roll in lidl when on offer. I think I recently paid £5 for 24 rolls.Ds2 born 3/4/12 8lbs 8.5:j

I saw it on TLC. I can see the point of showering at the gym if u pay & use it anyway but the newspaper toilet roll would be too much for me! I can see the point if its a 'can't pay' situation but think most were 'won't pay'.0
