I shamelessly use their great prices to get John Lewis to price match (they must really hate RS lol) as you get better warranties (in the case of TVs normally 5x times longer).

I like Richer sounds and would normally recommend them to anyone, but the televisions i've been looking at have just been reduced by £30 but then they've just removed the free five year warranty, so it's only cheaper if you don't want a five year warranty.
And whilst i'm on the subject i also noticed a laptop i was interested in at Argos has just been INCREASED by £30 in there fantastic sale!

What do JL do when RS are offering the same tv for cheaper but with no 5 year warranty? Do they match the RS price plus the price of the warranty?

I got John Lewis to price match RS on the TV...afterall JL advertise their warranty as "Free" so its a straight price for price on the TV. Some have claimed they argue that its not a match due to the warranty length, but I suppose it depends on how much you want to "argue".

That's great. Thanks. I submitted a price match request to them on Sunday, which I have chased up today (after 15 mins on hold!). Was told it might be Friday before they get back to me.

Would prefer to buy from JL as we have some vouchers with them.
