I've got enough biscuits and choc to last most the most part of 2014 but I am still soldiering onwards with the diet - last night we had a mini Green and Black bar each :T“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. If I waited until I had finished all the chocolate, biscuits and cheese I would never start a diet until at least 2016. :rotfl:
I was very good and did give lots of the Finest cookies away in xmas hampers so not so many to tempt me.0 -
Its about a 20 min walk each way and I can go the back way there and the High Street on the way back taking in the 3 charity shops and a T's express as never know what you might find ; always with the Barbie pink trolley in tow:rotfl:
Now that is a walk that is well worth doing. We are slightly out in the sticks so its just the Post Office in one direction. If I go in the other direction its a full one hour circuit and it only takes in the
Co op (and another Post office which I don't like)
So not a lot of incentive but at least it means more NSDs“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
No catching up for 3 days.
Off to Drs now but will come back later & go through my 'in tray'
Apologies
Work & personal stuff getting in the way
Hope you're ok snap. Not a lot in the way of glitches so you've not missed muchHope things settle down for you soon so you can join us again
Sun is still shining:T so I think a nice brisk walk to the post office is the order of the day after a nice hot bath using all my nice Christmas smellies.:)
Enjoy your day however you are spending it and stay strong those peeps doing a 5-2 day I am thinking I might need to join you at the rate I am eating all these choc's and biscuits :eek:as I have a Spa day booked with friends in 10days and think the swimsuit might be a bit snug :rotfl::rotfl:
I've got to head to the Post Office later too as I've got a red card. Think it might be my Kipling bagFancy a nice wander in the sun too but I'd better wait until the postie has been today if I don't want to repeat the process tomorrow
♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -
Have you a list of quantity Vs quality!?;):rotfl:
Why am I tacked onto the end of the zippydooda list ???
Is it a "rambling on sporadically in a demented way and not making a lot of sense" list :rotfl:
Porridge time I think“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Be strong tiny you know you can do it :T I think a bit of temptaion is good it makes you realise how strong you can be it was a bit like when I gave up smoking 9 or so years ago I always had a few ciggies in the cupboard just in case I weekened and I never did:j:j0 -
You've gotta love the prices of gold these days, sold a small handful of stuff my mum and gran had left me, stuff that I will never wear (I'm a silver/white gold person), had no idea if any of it was actually gold as I couldn't see any hallmarks - most of it was, £350 thanks very much!
This is the second time I've used Hatton Garden Metals and they've been superb every time, no wonder MSE recommends them! :money:No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

My Co-op still don't have their NUS Extra barcode so missed out on 10% again  This time the guy instore says he wasn't sure if it was just until new year. Well, I just checked online and it seems it's on-going boooo
This free greetings card card inside the M&S order, it looks like the first card is already stamped? I'm confused but forgive me, this is my first ever online M&S orderCan I take the top card instore for a free card? If so Valentine's day will be a bit more sorted! The stores all have Easter stock but I'm worrying about Valentine's Day! My mister would like a coffee machine but not sure if we'll be able to afford one
Hi princess, just catching up so not sure if you've seen this...

I bought this one for mr monkey for Christmas. It comes with a code for £20 worth of free coffee disks.
He really likes it and its really easy to use. Good price too. I paid £59.99 in Dec.:(0 -
Before I go has anyone else had a look at the MSE Budget brain webpage - found it last night.
Best budgeting tool ever but you need some serious chunks of time to complete it but its well worth the effort
Our problem is that we are paid every 4 weeks so common or garden budget gizmos don't work for us but I wish this one had been around when we had the struggling years, it would have been invaluable.
MSE Budget brain allows for this and if you have other incomes coming in at various times and you then fill in your outgoings split into different categories - again you can put in weekly, monthly, annual bills. You can also add extra items if you have a non standard outgoing and there is a page for the big one off things like holidays and Christmas and uni fees.
At the end you hit a giant red button and it tells you how well your finances are going to be this year“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
