the boiler cover that was mentioned last night,
my boiler flue is partly concealed in the loft n can't see it all, even tho this was fine at the time of it been fitted.
so I'm wondering if they will cover me.
currently with british gas n they charge an extra fee and stick a warning notice on it when they service saying at risk. About £22 per month but it breaks down every year without fail, this also covers my service of boiler.
may phone other company n ask.

morning if like mine breaks every year if i were u i would stick with bg if they do repair

    Morning

Another day with a clear diary :) Think I'll have a mooch in my jammies for a bit with a cuppa. Then I'll have to go to Ts for bread and milk as DH nicked the last of it for work

  • Good morning all, it is actually dry out there.

Not able to get to the shops this morning, not for a while anyway, as OH announced yesterday he needed my help this morning. Doesn't he know I have important shopping planned ? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mind you, he will be the one complaining when I don't have time to do the washing

im feeling fed up and very sorry for myself today sorry everyone :(
...........been in pain everyday for over a year now but to day its going to be a bad one....my back, legs and arms are killing!!

    Morning all!

Off to my fourth Match.com night tonight  Hoping this one is more like the first and less like the last two which were a total waste of time and money (they're over an hour away and I need to stay over as I like to have a couple of drinks to help the nerves).

Wonder whether to bother but I've paid for the hotel so I might as well, going to try and positivize (making up words now) myself before tonight as I definitely won't get anywhere in this mood!

Hope everyone has a good day xxx

I had a boiler guy round yesterday, and whlist it doesnt affect my boiler, we did talk about concealed flues. The problem is that if they cannot be checked, you cannot see a fault with them. THere was an incident apparently where the flue had been held up with string inside a concealed area. The string snapped after years of holding up the flue, so the gases did not clear properly and created a build up of carbon monoxide. That is the problem with concealed flues, they cannot be checked properly. However, regs on installing have gone up since this happened, so make sure you have a carbon monoxide detector upstairs.
