Aww bless, I had a dog called Toby that was actually my favourite soft toy he became so worn out the straw was coming out of his squeaky middle. My mum decided to send him to be recovered. And I never recovered from it :o, he was never the same. :( Not sure what happened to him as I was so upset I wouldn't have him back and I was about 11 or 12. :rotfl:

Sounds like your dad made sure your doll went to a good place. :A

DS2 has a bear....called Bluebear :o his sewed on smile unravelled years ago. Every few months he brings Bluebear to me to redraw his smile with a permanent marker. He's a properly loved bear with stitched on arms and legs and he gets a new t shirt for Christmas every year :D

I bought a bear from the lifeboat station this year just to avail of it t-shirt for Bluebears Christmas present :o

DD1 has a bear she still takes everywhere wouldn't be surprised if it is packed in her hospital bag. ;)

DD3 left her little bear that my dad gave her at a hotel in Hull once. They wanted to send it back to us but I knew we had to revisit in a few months so they kept it locked in the safe until we went back. I just could not trust he would arrive home safely in the post as we could not have replaced it.
