Should think he was having kittens:rotfl::rotfl: my mum wasnt best pleased i can tell you and she was still under 40 but thought she had gone past all that with all of us left school!
    How is your hubby now?
I think he was just stunned speechless
. He did say 'we'll cope' but went from talking 19 to the dozen to just sitting there looking dazed. I'm SO cruel! I remember my best friends' mum having a baby at 49 - she had NO idea she was pregnant, just thought it was the menopause until she was 8 months gone! OMG!

Hubby is same as, same as.......... he has had a few nasty anaphylactic episodes this month. Only once have we had to use Epi-pen (after a toffee - he's eaten toffees before no problem?) and go to hospital. He has to have a dye stress test on heart - hope he doesn't go into anaphylactic shock from this. Then if this is OK they may do something about his knee - he has a ganglion behind knee and also little cartilage left. The morphine the doc has put him on for pain means he spends almost all day & night in bed, getting up for meals and hoping that it doesn't trigger another episode. Most cooking has to be done from scratch & 'treats' we're very wary of.

At least we have a 2 week break from hospitals - we HOPE! Starting on 13th Jan he has hospital/physio/docs/consultants appts. every day that week and most of the next.

DLA says he doesn't need care - we're still asking them to reconsider since last February as doc said he's a 'prime candidate' for DLA. Maybe one day they will actually read the forms?

Maybe one day we'll both get our lives back? I'm hoping!

Yes but this is just the son's disability money, the dad gets no money to look after him:eek: he got it until he retired then they stopped it, his son has never, cooked, cleaned , done his own washing or ironing etc as cant cause of his brain injury and balance .
The dad had to give the mobility car back at beginning of Oct, so had to buy one as needed one to go shopping and see his son in hospital everyday.
Also they have had to have a stir lift and bath lift put in what they have had to pay for.
They have also paid for an electric wheelchair as was told son would never walk again, but he is now getting about with a zimmer
I said if he doesnt get it sorted i will help him in the new year.

Hi everyone, glad everyone seems to have survived the mayhem with their sanity intact :)

OH is at tosco getting cocktail sausages - don't ask.

He also run to say he has founded a jamie Oliver pizza stone half price for £9 - not even sure its worth that much or wether we would get much use out of it, so it any be returned tomorrow ...

    Morning everyone :)

My warmest wishes for the holiday season to all x

Tinyshoes, thinking of you and your family and looking forward to hearing about the newest Elite addition soon x

Edit - all showing 50 p now :D (Popped into A this morning and bought a selection of Frijjs. Sels for all were 2 for £2 but some went through at 50p. Have checked A.com and msm and think the banana and fudge brownie will glitch vs T at 10p each when bought in 2s (no idea of M price :o) )

My thanks to all for a wonderful glitchy 2013. My best bargains of the year weren't so much individual offers or glitches, but consistently over the year enjoying £40 or £50 shop after shop after shop where I was only paying say a tenner or less after mocs, pps, APs, BMs, CS coupons etc etc. Thanks to all for hints, tips, suggestions, finds that made this possible :j:beer::j

Where the devil have you been?:D

    Lovely to see you:)
