How to de-stink bike pannier?

I haven't used my bike pannier since the summer and then couldn't find it in the communal shed....now I have and realised that dear OH left a bit of cheese in the side flap all these months! It smells like something died in there. I've tried vinegar and now bicarb but are there any suggestions please? Not sure I can use bleach without destroying the bag? It's a really good quality waterproof side pannier bag that can't be turned inside out as it's very rigid, thick plastic.

    I would add more bicarb, hang it outside and let the weather do it's worst. Fresh air (and lots of it) is what it needs. You have nothing to lose.

    as soon as I don't think it would fly away to Scotland in the wind, I'll put it outside :D!

    You might need to use bicarb 3-4x, leaving it for a day at a time.
