  • In your shoes I would look at IT Manager roles being advertised and see how they rack up against the skills that you do have.

From wat you have put in your posts I think it would be a hell of a jump to go from providing IT support now and again to being IT Manager of a multi-site company with over 500 staff.
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

I'm afraid your "credentials" are doubtful because, for one instance, you were unaware that claimants need to pay in order to lodge a case with an ET. This shows you need to get up-to-date with how things work before offering advice which is a result of Googling.

I don't think there's any merit in continuing to argue with you. The OP was given good advice by me. Nothing hysterical, just a methodology which can be applied in many situations. I'm leaving the thread now because I've got better things to do than trying to big myself up in the eyes of others or entering into a war of words over nothing.

OP, it's a real shame that this has happened.

(Please don't listen to GlynD. I don't believe he has employment law experience. You certainly don't have a legal claim, so please don't threaten your employers with a tribunal or resign and claim constructive dismissal.)

Totally agree and absurd to direct the OP to a tribunal

When is incorrect advice deemed good advice?
