Dates for a nil tax code

I was made bankrupt in March of this year and my case is now being dealt with by the IP.
I received a letter on Friday to say hmrc have notified them that they have given me a nil tax code that will run until April 14.
I thought any nil tax code would be from bankruptcy date up to end of that financial year (March 13 to April 13)
I have been asked to send a cheque for the tax I've received but I'm self employed and confused and back in sleepless mode due to this.
The person dealing with my case is away until after Christmas
Does a nil tax code for these dates sound wrong? I have such trouble getting my head around tax matters.

An NT code should only be for the financial year that you become BR,
as you became BR in March then technically you would only have a NT code for 1 month. Query this as soon as you can as it looks like they have made a mistake with the dates.:pB&SC No. 298
