Ooh I forgot I banked £0.50 yesterday too so that's a whole £1 in my 50p pot!!Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising
Lloyds loan - gone forever! :T
Bank of Mum and Dad gone forever!

Well today was a bit rubbish when I realised we only have £500 til the end of the month. The bills are paid so it could be worse but cross with myself for letting it get out if hand over the last month. At least I have the money out aside for dog haircut etc so it could be worse.
Positively I put £2 in my £365 day pot so paid up for Feb all bar £1 so at least that's in track.
Think I persuaded myself tackling the c/card is more important than clearing bank of Mum and Dad too we are paying £106 a month and only reducing the balance by about £30 a time so it's time to tackle it head on.
So tomorrow I shall be brave enough to post the c/card balance:eek:Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

The problem is my fuel needs to come out of it so that's why I worry I really ought to put it to one side but it did give me a kick up the bum to apply for the job I have been prevaricating about.
It was an expensive car month which hasn't helped, taxing one car and two new tyres on the other. Which is where a budget is required. I am getting their slowly but have a complete mental block over budgets. I think I need to stop hoping someone will do it for me:rotfl:
I have just reclaimed my health costs from Simply Health so hopefully that's a few ££'s back.

Well my DH has just decided he wants a different job with a £19k wage drop
I know if he gets offered it, it's his dream job but the thought of losing that much money a year made me feel a bit sick. I know after the training period the wages will increase significantly and I know he desperately wants to do it so I will support him but I was looking forward to a few comfortable years before we had to face these huge changes. I feel selfish writing it down but will not voice it to him and just deal with the consequences when it happens.
Being debt free though means we can do it so head down for a few more months hard debt paying. I have claimed back my medical bills from my healthcare provider so will be a surprise how much I get paid as they never work it out like I do.
I did splash £2.70 on a new "pot of dreams" in sainsburys yesterday though it was reduced to clear and I intend to save loose change in it :A
This week I vow to take my lunch every day to work. I am trying not to spend money at lunch so this should make a huge difference. Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

Soo excited just realised that in 35 days I will be free of the evil loan with the banking monster Lloyds! I will have a mini celebration on the first of April to celebrate beating that debt!
Why is it a bank loan seems so much more soul destroying than car finance for example?
I think once I have paid this debt off I am going to buy myself the watch I have longed for to remind myself how long debt takes to pay off.
Feb has been a long month though, longer than Jan in our household but I think with the exception of a few salad bits we don't need to spend much til payday.
I am going to try taking cash out for the grocery shopping this month. Never done it before but will get a dedicated money retaining device with the loyalty cards too.Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

I am truly rubbish at updating my diary but my Lloyds loan is now cleared totally:T
I have however skipped a couple of payments to bank of Mum and Dad, so I need to double that over to catch back up.
Have spent ages trying to rein my DH in from buying new cars, holidays etc, it really makes me cross that he's spending it faster than we have it and at some point I just want to shout at him that we need to save some money instead of putting it all on to holidays, new cars etc. I saw someone today struggling to find even the smallest amount of money (a couple of hundred) and it renewed my resolve to never be that person.
On a positive note I was invited to so a survey for a £15 Amazon voucher so hoping that I can put that towards some bits I need. Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising
