Well I'm feeling a bit deflated today as I finally received my pin for my Experian credit report and after comparing the two I have my debt has gone up by about £3,000! It's now at almost £20k...

But I won't let this put me off.

I might be able to get £348 knocked off as on one report it seems as though Nationwide and Lowell have both defaulted the same account, I have to contact Nationwide and sort it out. Fingers crossed!

One more credit report to get and a couple of phone calls to make and I will know exactly what my debt total is. I'm also in the process of writing to all creditors to offer a token payment in the hopes of avoiding any CCJ's.

In April I plan on using a lump sum of my student finance to get some of the smaller debts cleared completely. Maybe I will be able to negotiate a reduced final amount on a few of them, meaning the money saved can go straight on the others.

Hiya HelenCal, how's that nifty spreadsheet of yours? Are you suffering from middle-of-the-month 'meh' feelings as you wait for payday to be able to allocate money? Or are you skipping along happily? Are the pots growing?

I know it's only mid-January and therefore a couple of weeks in to the year! I sometimes feel like I should have achieved more by now. That's where doing my knitting projects helps, as I aimed to do 10 items this month, so 3+ every 10 days. Am on track so far and it helps me think about creative things rather than always focussing on financial.

Enough wittering. Sending hugs your way :grouphug:.
