Good for you, DD - and tattycath, I'd love to steal her idea too, but if I have a big list like that, I need a longer time frame - I'm *terrible* at doing what I said I'm going to do *when* I said I'm going to do it on these sorts of things. I do do it, but never in the timescale I thought I would, something else seems more attractive or something
still, it would be good to have something to aim for, even if I don't do it. Okay, in that spirit, I'll give it a go too, if thats all right, DD :j:j:j
Karmacat, I'm brilliant at making lists, it's the executing of those lists I struggle with.
At least if I make a list I have a better chance of achieving something rather than nothing.
My list is only about 4 or 5 things at the moment-so I'm open to suggestions on what to add to it.
I'm not short of things to do. I live in an average house, that may be more cluttered than most.so I really need to focus on de cluttering this month.

Hello all and thank you for stopping by
Of course i posted a huge to do list which i started on sunday and then fell illSo i've had to find out now where i am up to
I agree with TC - i may not achieve everything on my lists but i achieve more than i would do without one
I may have already made a purchase this month  When i said no clothing etc. - i returned my walking to work shoes = £30 refund and purchased a pair of boots in a style i've wanted for at least 2 years - £10 in the sale - so is that a spend or not?CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I think i'll go with the mini lists today to get things done as i really need to catch up on the time i've lost with being ill
I've actually finished the kitchen declutter today :j:j It is fab, looks loads better and the insides of the cupboards are lots better too :T It has made the kitchen a much nicer place to be in and a lot more efficient in terms of getting to the utensils i need :T i still have 6 roasting dishes though - just about to use 1 to make mac n cheese
I have no idea how the kitchen got done so fast although i suppose cupboards of plates and tins of food that are all needed and used are quite quick to do
So i now need to start on the next room as i need the break and distraction from study
So i'll start on the spare room next - i was going to do that this month anyway but the kitchen took priority - now it looks as though both will be done :T This means i'd already chunked the room down into different areas to tackle
So:~
Start early tea / late lunch
Next paper towards assignment

Absolutely agree on *how* helpful lists are - massive, massive enablers!
DD, you sound like you've been so illdo take care! How lovely that the kitchen feels like a good place to be now - and remember, if you use those roasting tins, they're worthwhile - doesn't matter what the gurus say, its your kitchen, if it feels good to you, thats fine.
And no, replacing shoes you had to return is not a purchase in this sensehurray!
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC
Well i suddenly remembered i hadn't heard from my mortgage company after my query approximately 1 month ago so had to ring them whilst my tea went cold as otherwise they'd have closed - Lets just say :mad::mad: and breathe - the sooner i can get this mortgage down / my income up and get to a new mortgage company the better
In good news - i did make the mac and cheese
i decluttered 2 shelves producing 4 items for le carboot and 1 potential bay of e item :T
i did 2 papers and not 1 towards my assignment
Next list:-
Clear sides and behind bedding box
1 paper assignment
Finally make potato & leek soup :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I am on tenterhooks about this soup.0

Plodding on
just awaiting the stock for the soup to be ready and then that'll be made - the rest of it is prepped already
Cleared 1 side and behind bedding box. 1 item being moved into different storage area - here there are mainly photos and these aren't really something we can sell  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and wouldn't throw away - but they aren't up and aren't going up again in this house - oh well at least they're hidden
Also got 6 unframed pictures - 1 of which is going up once framed , just no funds for this as yet - the others will also go up eventually...
1 page done
and clothes moved, and spare hangers, and nail polish removed and bay of e checked and my item with lots of watchers didn't sellAnd had to give a partial refund which i am  about but figured i'd be more out of pocket on a full refund :mad::mad:
Sort letters
Sort inside and top of bedding box
1 page
Hmm... what does anyone else think about the pictures? There are 6, i know where 1 of them is going. The other 5 will be used, though not necessarily in this house. They were all purhased from travels and i love them all..
