Tesco Home Improvement Loan

After reading many thread regarding the Tesco loan on this forum, I am now confused about the document Tesco requested.

My Tesco loan online application for 6k has been accepted in principle and today I received documents which i need to return tomorrow. They only asked me for my proof of residency which I can proof by British passport certified copy by post office.

Now I am little confused! I am a home owner and I applied for home improvement loan for more than 5 years and Tesco didn't request for further proof i.e. mortgage statement, bank statement, payslips etc. I really don't want to delay my application only because they may require me further documents. I also have a Tesco CC. Is it because I am with NatWest and they are RBS Group and they can access into my bank statement and hence they don't need to see my details or you think they would ask me further details later? Just curious as I don't want to send any extra documents which they didn't request from me. OR shall I enclose my mortgage statement to proof of home ownership with mortgage?

Your valuable advice based on your experience would be much appreciated!!

That is all that they need.

Homeownership can be checked at the CRAs if you have a mortgage.

Also, Tesco Bank is not part of any other bank, it is a bank by itself.

If they didn't ask for it, they don't want to see it.
I have had 2 Tesco loans in the past and in my case they didn't ask to see anything.
Just send what they ask for, and assume the rest is fine :) They will have everything else they need to know about you via other means.

  • Thank you very much to all!! I sent the form with copy of the passport on Saturday by special delivery. but, my delivery has not yet been delivered to Tesco. Do you think, the application can still be refused despite of AIP approved??:(

It will be approved as long as the info you gave them is correct.

They've asked for proof of address and as long as you've provided it, they will lend to you.
