I'm sure there's a thread for this somewhere, I did search but didn't come up with anything.
Anyway, I'm looking for some advice about cleaning my oven without harsh chemicals, firstly as I have asthma and it's playing up at the moment and secondly as I'm pregnant and don't want to breath in the awful fumes from oven cleaner.
Thanks in advance

Bicarbonate of soda made into a paste with water - good for those stubborn stains on the window of an oven too. Leave to soak for a few hours, or overnight, and scrub off.
Some lemon juice or vinegar in a bowl, popped into the oven after you've just switched it off - it'll evaporate and start to soften all the gunk in the oven.0 -
This is a variation on krlyr's ideas, but with pics as well. You don't have to use home made liquid soap or organic vinegar for this to work, bought liquid soap and malt vinegar will work just as well0

I know you said that you wanted home made oven cleaner but if you find that the bicarb or lemon doesn't work Lakeland do a good gel that you paint on the oven.It doesn't smell and works really well.0
