New job offer - have annual leave to take with current company - what to do?

    Why not say to your employer now that you have 5.5 days leave to take and do they want you to book it off now (bearing in mind they will have to ask someone to cover for you or let down their client on a project) or would they rather pay you for it and if they say they will pay you get this in writing? Seems the easiest solution to me though are there 5.5 working days left now between Monday and New Years Eve?
