Hi, I have recently gone BR, however my OH is still deciding between BR & an IVA, problem is his Winter Fuel Payment has been sent to his old bank account who are one of his creditors & probably the biggest! Any suggestions please.:(

Hi Sars
Is that account still active in any sense? If so, my first suggestion would be that he attempts to withdraw the funds ASAP. If not, there is a strong danger that the bank will offset it against his existing debts with them, in which case his only hope may be to ask that it be credited back to him on hardship grounds. No guarantees though, I'm afraid.
