Going Self Employed

Hi all,
Due to the current climate my job was no longer secure, so I have left
I have been looking to go self employed for some time, fixing and and maintaining computers and networks for business and home users. As well as selling components and products online. I use to do it before working for another company for 5 years and know there is money to be made.
However now that I am unemployed and I don't think the company will make any profit for the first few months. I have rent and bills to pay
Does any one know what help there would be out there? tax relief? I have saved enough to pay the next 3 months of rent and bills but really want this to work. I have invested about £1000, I have made a website, facebook and lots and lots of leaflets to deliver as well as knowing business and people already so should have some clients.

I'm' sure there must be help available but as soon as you get the word out there using your flyers, maybe canvassing, or local advertising I'm sure the work would start to come in.
I would keep an eye out for another job too, and run the 2 jobs side by side until one starts rockin'
Maybe try approaching local business such as furniture makers, builders, designers offering to improve websites, computer systems, improve SEO search engine optimization and see how it goes.

choose the areas well for those flyers
I spent a whole day posting flyers for my business in Brentwood with no results but when I posted in my own neighbour i had loads of replies.
I think this is because those well to do houses are constantly hammered with flyers and the home owner just bins them.0 -

Same with a certain catalogue company that sells cleaning products too. Go round the affluent areas where there is plenty of money and they'd rather spit on you than buy anything. Go to the areas where everyone is skint and it's eze money.
Weird but worth remembering! Rich people don't like spending. Poor people buy stuff.0
