Daughter needs a Prom dress - Help!!!

Hi guys..............

Need your help once again. My 16 year old daughter has been looking for a Prom dress without any success. (Actually, she did find one which she loved which happened to cost £215!!!

Anyway, do you know anywhere in the London/Surrey area where I can find a reasonable price one for her? Would prefer to "buy" than to "hire".

We have approximately 3 weeks...............so get looking:beer:

Thanks for helping:kiss:

Go and have a look in TKMaxx. They had some fab ball gowns in there. All different styles etc. and some great prices.

Also, when are Monsoon due to have their sale? Usually up to 70% off.

    Good luck!!!

  • I bought my daughters off E-bay (from an english seller). The dress was beautiful. If you are buying from E-bay I would advise double checking the measurements, as they tend to be imported and come up a size smaller. Best of luck.
Why is there always too much month left at the end of the money :(

If you have three weeks then definitely try to find out when sales start. TK Maxx is excellent (and the sales even better!) Debenhams do a good range, as do Monsoon. Also, do you live anywhere near a shopping outlet village?

Have in past been lucky for my daughters prom dresses in H@M -very reasonable prices-might be worth a look if you have one near you.
Also Debanhams sale is on and you might find a bargain there.

  • I bought my prom dress in New Look, I wasn't really bothered about dressing up, and it was amazing how many positive comments I got about it!

I've got 3 prom/formal dresses - one from Monsoon (in the sale), one from Designers @Debenhams (also in the sale) and one from TK Maxx.
The TK Maxx one was the cheapest, but also the nicest, and the most expensive-looking - both times I've worn it, I've had loads of comments and people asking where I got it from.

'Oh, just a little boutique back home', was obviously the answer I gave, rather than '£39.99 at TK Maxx'! ;)

You've got to be prepared to look though, they don't have many choices, maybe 3 styles in each size, but each store has different stock, so it's always worth trying another if you don't get any luck in the first one!
