I have enamel oven trays and dur to being a bit lazy and not washing up properly efter each use they have started to get a build up of brown gunk, i have tried using a few of the methods on here but not with much luck, i was going to see if the dishwasher could get them a bit cleaner but im not sure if i can put them in as it doesnt say in the manuals.

I put mine into the dishwasher, but I do not find that it gets the really burnt on stuff off.
If they are not too bad you could try soaking them in a mix of biological washing powder and soda crystals for a good few hours and then scrub. I have managed to clean a couple of mine like this.

I use a bit of cream cleaner and a wire scouring pad.

I just use hot soapy water, a scourer and elbow grease! I think you can soak them in biological washing powder though. I seem to remember doing that years ago.

Yep, biological washing powder shifts most muck. Make sure you use really hot water and leave to soak overnight if possible. Then all it will need is a good scrub in the morning.

My favourite for all things scrubbable is Bicarbinate of Soda. Pour some into a bowl and mix to a paste with washing up liquid. Then apply and scrub away (I always use a teflon friendly scrubbing pad). Also works amazingingly well on the oven and oven glass door. No more choking chemicals

I use a scouring pad, some cream cleaner, and elbow grease :D Mighty satisfying once it's done, though.

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existint thread to give you more ideas.

Enamel grill pans will come up like new with no trouble at all if you put them in a black plastic bin liner outside in the sun, pour a little bit of ammonia in then tie the neck of the bin liner and leave it all day. Don't pur away the ammonia as soon as you take it out of the bag because you can reuse it. The gunk just flakes off with a rinse and if you do get any stubborn bits just put it back in the bag for a few more hours. The weather this week should be perfect for this since the forecast is sunny all week.

Warning - do be careful with chromed items - I had some chrome come off oven shelves from my new cooker doing this but I think it was faulty chroming because I used to do it with the grill rack on my old cooker for years. The manufacturer replaced the oven shelves because they agreed it shouldn't have happened. But enamel should be fine
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
