has anyone else had dealings with loan.co.uk?
my daughter applied for personal loan from them and paid admin fee of £95 (silly girl) the loan was approved they then asked for £199.90 to release the money which would be repaid to her with loan she transfered £200.00 they said they could not release money as she had paid 10p too much they told her to pay £199.90 and she would have within half hour her loan £1500, £200 and £199.90.in her bank £1899.90. i also spoke with them they assured me this would happen. She was called and told it had all gone through and money would be in bank in next hour. Now they are saying something about her not having PPI and cant make payment , told them didnt want PPi they said had to have it. Called them again and as soon as told them name they hung up!Now they are not answering their phone.

you were posting on here a year ago telling us that your daughter was applying for loans from dodgy "fees upfront" brokers

So far she has given them nearly £500 to get a £1500 loan???
Please tell her to stop sending them money. The idea of a loan is they send her money. This is a scam.
I assume that this money was sent by Western Union or something similar so is not recoverable?
I've just had a look at their website and unless I am being dim they don't seem to list any way of contacting them.
If you put the address on their website into googlemap (105 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, S50 7ES, United Kingdom) and do street view you get a picture of a run down shopfront for Firstline Loans."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
Why does your 'daughter' need a loan when she's got a spare £500 knocking around?Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0

OP to get th money back im sure if you read the T&C's you will find what you ned to claim a refund or your daughter reads it to claim the money back.
Next thing I would do is sit her dwn and explain what she has done wrong as clearly she hasn't learnt form last year. Tell her to stop throwing money down the drain, teach them about being careful with her money.
It could be a different daughter of course in which case maybe not be so harsh.

I would have smelt a rat as soon as a £95 admin fee was mentioned.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Come on, guys. Some people are very naive about financial matters, that is why sharks prey on them. She may even have learning difficulties, for all we know.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
Is your daughter 100% certain that she is dealing with loan.co.uk? They've been around since at least 1996, so they don't look like the type of business that would be scamming people (there is a big difference between the dodgy brokers who ask for a 50 or 60 quid broker fee and the out and out scammers who come up with loads of different fees that need to be paid before the loan is granted).
Who have the emails and phone calls come from and what was the account holder's name on the bank account she sent the money to?0
