Hi Pearla*Merle,
I've been reading your thread and just wanted to say I love your "Simple Pleasures" sections. What a lovely way to post.
I also love Dairy Milk, de-cluttering biscuits, Costco and Harry Potter too.
Anyway, this was just a quick "Hi". Have a great evening0 -
Forgot to say - Decathlon have a great sale on right now. Organic cotton tshirts for £1, leggings etc for £3ish. Some are rather random sizes, but it may interest some of you out there?
I was going to splurge but then I realised that gym visits are out for the next six months or so and realistically I'm only going to do yoga/walk, so I could probably last until the next sale with what I've got (i.e. loads of PJs which are great for yoga, I don't need fancy cropped trousers for it however much they appeal)

Hello jeanangeo  welcome aboard!
Do you have a diary? (I shall investigate!). I'm behind the times here at MFW, I'm looking forward to catching up with old and new faces alike over the holidays (am still :j about getting my life back - it's not going to wear off anytime soon, lol).
I'm long overdue decluttering a biscuit. I daresay I'll have to do my duty in a few weeks... the house is already groaning with festive foodstuffs.a penny picker upper. Hi PM
I am so glad that you have had your surgery and are now feeling loads better.
Been so busy I haven't been on much again.
Good news that you may be able to go on that trip - something to look forward to.
Take care.

Busy day, started organising presents and cards to post... hmm, not sure when that task will be completed, just taking it one step at a time.I'm all for extended Christmasses, hope the recipients feel likewise.
:www: MFW Wonderment: had loads of peppers in the fridge, cooked them up with leftover passata from the freezer and dregs of wine bottle my mum left to make a nice chunky pasta sauce. Made double the amount of pasta for lunch so there's some in the fridge for tomorrow and two portions have gone into the freezer.
Had stovies for tea (forgot how easy it was to make until I tried to open the can of corned beef whereupon I swiftly remembered why I don't make it. Miracle we got it open in the end). Extra portion into the freezer, it's starting to look really good in there meals-wise again.
Entered some comps; ran the washing machine on high temp to keep it in good condition; realised we have enough Christmas cards to get us through the next ten years (maybe more). And Mr M came back with more reduced cards yesterday... save me.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: a reviving piece of toast and a sit down in front of the telly. A cosy bed.a penny picker upper. Toast, tea and telly, oh great idea. Off to indulge. Congrats on meals and Christmas cards. Feels good to have a nice ready meal stockpile - so much nicer than shop bought0

I heartily agree
And a darn sight cheaper...! Makes them taste even better
Did a bit of number-crunching this morning (when I logged into my CC account)... I've not gone over budget but it's insane how things rack up at this time of year. And once you start it doesn't matter how militant you are, it's hard not to feel yourself slide. Absolutely no panic buying or extra silly treats henceforth. Just a few family things left to get, post parcels and that's it.
Am having to be a little more on the ball due to being on sick pay (though I'll take being better over lost monies!). So I've drafted a plan for the next few months which should keep things on an even keel.
I just need to review my plans for Mr M's birthday and then I'll post up the Plan O' Action here so I remember it!
Saw two wonderful ideas for Advent - one was to fill up a food donation box with something every day, the other was to find something in the house to charity shop every day.
I've got a few things together for both but need to catch up, shall have a root around today and see what I can find. Will have to do it inbetween lots of naps, I feel rather sleepy today.a penny picker upper. Sleepy wiped-out-ness has annoyingly continued apace. I keep waking up feeling that I've only just shut my eyes. Feeling rather more chipper this evening, a proper dinner helped - maybe I've just not been eating and drinking enough?!
Haven't managed to polish off anything mentioned above, but managed to write to some more friends who are long overdue a catch up and vaguely sort out some more presents from my present box ready for wrapping. Making a dint in it makes me feel calmer and if things end up being a bit late getting to people then never mind.
Feeling frustrated that I can't get more done about the house but am trying to think of it as looking cosy rather than cluttered.
:www: MFW Wonderment: OnePolled. :j Haven't wandered around any shops. Continued good work with fast forwarding through adverts :rotfl: Pondered looking for a new job in the new year. Did some organising of self-employed stuff (going to finally crack on with this big time next year!)
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: getting in before the rain (was sans brolly); easy teas (tempura fish with steamed potatoes, carrot & peas); advent calendars with pictures! I bought a delightfully glittery old fashioned one when I was in Florence last year (it has all sorts of woodland creatures enjoying a Christmas carnival on it) - today's picture appeared to be a beetle (random!), but I've had bells, angels, an elephant, a ring, a gingerbread man. Love it.

Signed up for MFiT-T4! At last I feel like I can properly join in.
My plan is to build up £15k over the next three years. It's pretty much doable if things were to stay as they are now - but hopefully new job and self-employed stuff will really help to blast through that target.
Feeling all inspired, I just spent a couple of hours doing self-employed bits. :j I dug out some stuff I needed the other day as well, so hopefully I can get an important part of my plan ticking over properly sooner than I thought.
Feeling excited. And so much more awake than I was earlier! :rotfl:a penny picker upper.
