most building societies including nationwide dont pay interest on cheque deposits until 3rd working day following deposit, a tiny minority pay interest from day of receipt or day following receipt.
nationwide doesnt even pay interest on cash deposits until day following receipt
( im quoting savings accounts to avoid any confusions)0
