Well, from what I have interpreted in your posts, it would be a wise idea to stay with the final salary pension. If I am honest this is what I thought all along but I believed it would be a good subject for discussion and also bring up new ideas I may not have thought of.
I think I will just stay with the scheme and see how it goes, the money invested will not just disappear and also, there’s still time for them to create a role ideal for me, as change happens very quickly in retail banking. I sure it wont be long until they bank realise that if they have independent advisors in a more predominant role (independent advisors are only available on customers specific request, as not to completely loose a sale), therefore there are about 4 in my region!
As well I seem to be moving quickly in the ranks, I start a new job tomorrow which is based mainly on sales, yet because of my age not direct with customers. Not bad for 10 months and a first job I think!
Thanks a lot for everyone who replied, your help is greatly appreciated once again!

Well good idea to stay in the pension, especially as you can move anywhere within the RBS group. So you don't just have to stay in retail. The people I worked with now are working in many different areas of the RBS group (Fraud department of Natwest, RBS CHAPs department, Lombard Debt Collection etc) there are many many different positions, not all of them even customer facing, so if you tire of your role or want a new challenge I suggest looking in their job vacancies manual.

And if your still working for the RBS group in 20yrs time, you will be happy of your choice.
