I'd strongly advise against a 4gb machine (which is the price you've quoted in your post) - particularly if you wish to play certain games as they will NOT play without a secondary storage device such as a USB stick. It looks cheap, but when you factor in the price of a USB stick it's often just as cheap & easy to look for a second hand machine or even look at the new machines with a bigger HD. Basically as a gamer & someone who's pretty keyed up on it, I'd only advise a 4gb machine to someone who all they're going to do is play Minecraft & never go online with it. If you want to play GTA 5, CoD Ghosts or pretty much any major forthcoming release I'd avoid it like the plague!
Should be able to pick up a 250gb slimline machine pre-owned for around £110-130 mark without any games & I know Game are currently advertising a deal with 4 games + 250gb machine for £180. (Games are FIFA, Aliens, Halo 4 & Forza Horizon) While it immediately looks a touch more expensive it's not bad considering the fact you're getting 4 games (well, 3 and a well documented turkey in Aliens) and a console you'll probably never need to worry about.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
thanks mate, Ive heard this before, all it will be used for is my 5 year old boy who plays skylanders, it doesn't go online and he doesn't play anything else0

Fair enough - I doubt there'll be any heavy discounting between now & Christmas, but it's always worth keeping an eye on the big retailers, just in the off chance. I know the Asda one was a short term move (most likely to clear some stock) but some of the retailers may call their sales early and drop the price of the 4gb machine. Truth be told though, if they were going to do it, I'd say they maybe missed the boat on it, you'd want to be doing that a couple of weeks before Christmas to catch the folks who've been "waiting out" the market. Anything after now methinks might be a bit late for the Christmas rush.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I'm selling my 250GB one if you're based in London
I daresay you could pick one up with quite a few games at the moment as people sell up to purchase an X-Box One0 -
Since the xboxone is not backwards compatible then I would be surprised at any one that completely replaces the 360 with the xbox one, since they would be abandoning there existing game collection.I'm selling my 250GB one if you're based in London

That's exactly what I've done.
When I got a PS2 I kept my PS1... I think I played it for a total of about two hours before it just sat there gathering dust and when I tried to sell it a year later it was virtually worthless.
Then I chopped in my PS2 for a 360 and, again, I played it about 5 times before it became an expensive paperweight and was worthless by the time I sold it.
I get my PS4 on launch day and the 360 has not been touched since so selling it now while I can still get a reasonable amount for it and investing that money into more PS4 games makes a lot more sense than keeping it for novelty's sake.0 -
How much you thinking will get for it? trade in places have dropped what there offering, and selling private can be a pain if any faults were to develop down the line..
My reason for keeping the 360, is to be able to play GTA, especially when further stories \ expansion packs come out for it...That's exactly what I've done.

This guy has a good balance of gaming options:
I would love to see the wiring diagram for this lot.0 -
Yes I can imagine the wiring diagram will be just like spaghetti junction. I like the wide choice of consoles.0

Would doubt that giving how ocd-esque the spacing of the consoles is... I remember seeing something similar to this on the xbox site where there was a 'post my setup thread'...Yes I can imagine the wiring diagram will be just like spaghetti junction. I like the wide choice of consoles.0
