Applying for job - Credit Check ?

With only 2 months left on the Work Programme, I am applying for literally everything I can. Have one interview lined up already at beginning of January.
Now, looking through jobs on indeed I found an Inbound Customer Service role. It's in a call centre and says on the advert they are interested in speaking to candidates who may be suitable for the role as they are looking to take on a large intake of staff
One point is the ideal application will 'have previous customer service experience'. This I don't have but I could try and relate transferrable skills from other jobs to this, and I also took part in a call centre course through my Work Programme provider
However another point on there is 'the ideal applicant will be able to pass a full credit check'.
What kinds of things do they look for whilst carrying out a credit check ? I have experienced problems with late payments this year, not really going into details over the internet why. But most are paid off now, have a couple outstanding which I will be paying next week

I noticed that this customer service call centre role is actually being at the moment in my Work Programme, seen it on the wall today and it says 'see your advisor'.
Whether the Work Programme have some kind of link with the hiring company I'm not sure as other jobs they have put details how to apply, but this says 'see your advisor'
Reading on the internet it says that with some companies the best thing is to be as honest as possible with late payments etc...
I'm just wondering if it would be worth speaking to my Work Programme advisor about this ? If they have got links with the employer, it may be something that she could help me try and get around ?0
