    Hi all,

Just wanted to say, a complete surprise and shock to me, lovely DP proposed last night. He asked DD(6) first if it would be ok to marry her mummy and she said yes was very excited and so he asked me, while I stood there in my pj's, no make up on, hair all wet from the bath and wondering what was going on!

So...just wanted to "announce" it here as I use this forum for all good bad and indifferent things.

    Kirsty x

Congratulations and best wishes for the future.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

OK thank you! She text once when she was drunk declaring I was all she wanted and knew she could never get me back and that was what had hurt her so much etc. I just never replied!

I don't think I've heard the last of it until after Xmas because she'll be feeling lonely!

Forget that though! This is about your brilliant news!!:T

  • Oh believe me I've talked enough about our brilliant news!

I'm really pleased you're in a much stronger place where you can see things for what they are. How are things with the lady you were seeing? Has she taken a step back? If she has it seems she's very mature about this whole situation (as are you). I was with someone for 10months and he was the total opposite of anyone I had ever dated before I was smitten. He cheated on me, and in the end said some nasty things about my daughter. Needless to say he was out the door before I could utter "ta-ra". It's been a year, and then he started texting me, initially by "accident" apparently. Trying to worm his way back in. He soon stopped texting after he learnt I was happily involved!

I hope your ex leaves you be and that you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year :)
