I want to send an ecard to my DS in Australia for christmas and have seen this site. ( Bluemountain ecards)
It looks really nice , plus I can send the card as a private message on Facebook. I have quite a few overseas relatives who I could also send this type of greating as well. I don,t really want to email ecards as I am worried the recipients might get loads of spam email as a consequence.
The site does want to use my credit card for payment. Has anyone used them before? It looks like a US website
Forgot to mention I have missed the last posting date for Aussie plus my DS has just moved house:eek:

I've not used the site before but this what I've been able to find out about it.
For some odd reason they've hidden their contact address and phone number in the Terms of Service rather than on the Contact Us page.
Finding how much a subscription cost was also difficult but I eventually found a page which said it was $20 for a year. That's approximately £12.20. However when I tried to find out how to cancel a sub I was taken to the members' sign in page which was no help at all.
On Web of Trust the site has an excellent rating but a couple of comments caught my eye:
1. 'Unable to simply unsubscribe. Requires that you call their center to unsubscribe. (If reachable) They will ignore expired credit cards and just change to the new one so once they get into your account you will NEVER get them out.'
2. 'Unable to contact by phone outside the USA. Phone menu disconnects if no US zip or phone no. Did not reply to query through contact page. They failed to cancel even though I entered my cancellation at the same time placed my one card order.'

Blue Mountain also hosts imgag.com which, according to Web of Trust, is 'Engaged in the distribution of malware.'

If you're based in the US Blue Mountain might be ok. Anywhere else I can foresee problems because of possible difficulties in cancelling the membership.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I had seen reviews that the subscription was difficult to cancel. I decided in the end to use a credit card I am cancelling in January. That way they won't be able to simply re subscribe me. It's a pity about it being a USA outfit they have nice ecards!!0

I used them in the past for their free ones.
Don't assume you HAVE to pay for ecards...
Or just find a nice Christmassy/winter picture on google & email that with your message...Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -
Glad you managed to get sorted. I know it's late for you now but for anyone else considering, my experience with BlueMountain was good.
I used to have a subscription with them for a few years. I used to use the print at home service too. Never had any problems and believe I just emailed to cancel.ITV Winners Club Member (106)
