Mortgage provider spotted recent gabp in electoral roll

My mortgage lender has noticed that I was not on the electoral roll between 2010 and 2012. This is because I didn't live at home at the time but had two different rental addresses while at university.
However I kept everything: passport, driving license, bank accounts, registered with my parent's address, just to keep things simple. So I only told the lender about my parent's address and one other address to which I did transfer those things over the last year.
Am I right in thinking I could have got added to the electoral register at my parent's address during that time? In which case I could honestly say I simply didn't bother because I wasn't interested in voting?
Or should I fess up about the other addresses? Something I'm reluctant to do because the mortgage provider won't look too kindly on the fact I hadn't told them about those addresses before!
Might get some stick for this but if someone could advise I would really appreciate it because I would really hate to lose this mortgage!

They'll need the full address history, so you'll need to tell them the addresses.
Apart from not telling them could be looked on as attempted fraud, they'd also look at your employment history and wonder why you weren't working near your parents home during 2010 - 2012, and start asking more questions.
As long as you tell the truth, you should be fine ...... Assuming you aren't trying to hide bad debts at the rental addresses, of course !Early retired - 18th December 2014

Digging a hole isn't advisable. Which by the sounds of it you have already done.
How far down the line are you with the application?0 -
Students can be registered both at home and at their student addresses. Interestingly in some elections they can vote at both places as well.
However, you really need to tell them all the addresses you have lived at.0 -

They've instructed connells to perform a valuation so very far...0 -
So are you going to give the full address history?
If you don't, it could be construed as a fraudulent application, if you are knowingly withholding information.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Well I really don't know what to do. I always thought what was required on these forms was your registered address. So if I were to give my student address when everyhing was registered to my parents address it would count against me. And it would be truthful to say I chose not to register for yhe electoral roll.
however I suppose they may ask further questions.
but if I do tell them about these other addresses they could immediately lose faith and deny the mortgage.0 -
It's not unreasonable for a person to have lived at different addresses while they were studying - so if you explained to them you'd made a genuine mistake about omitting the previous addresses, and explain why you weren't on the VR, they'd probably be ok with your explanation.
However, with the new address information, they'd have to credit score the application again, which could affect their lending decision, particularly if negative information was found.
The right thing to do is to tell them the addresses..... But at the end of the day it's your call on what to doEarly retired - 18th December 2014
