regular bus routes would be fine thanks
  • Most places in Inverness are serviced not bad (ish) by the busses.
Sunday can be terriblefor busses if you are in Culloden, smithton, cradlehall, Inshes wood, slackiebuie, fairways or anywhere further out than 3miles from the town centre.
Like all places Inverness has better areas than others, reflected in prices you pay!
Best to look on google streets if you are interested in an area.

Smithton isn't the greatest tbh I would look at Westhill it is just further up the road but the houses are nice and so is the area views are amazing.

Can also recommend Culduthel and Culloden highly. Culloden has a good set of shops including a doctors surgery, vets and a post office also it is near to several schools.

Westhill is quite close to these amenities too.

You can look at properties on McCallum and McLeod website

thanks faith, we were up there today and im going to plump for either central or culduthel, that area is best as you say, there are some help to buys and a huge new asda and tesco in the area too

its a two mile walk up the culduthel road into town which is about the same distance from where i am now to my work in glasgow and the buses are good arent they ?

am i right in thinking culloden is a little further in distance from the town centre

    thanks x

Culloden is a little further a walk but is doable I use to do I when I stayed at my mums and there is a bigger Tesco that side too and a fairly good retail park with an Argos, Topshop and a huge Boots.

I haven't got the bus Culduthel side but most of the bus routes are pretty ok just Sundays and Bank Holidays are a bit of a pig.

We're looking to move up that way ourselves in a few years must better standard of living than where we are now including hospitals (Raigmore were fantastic to my mum when she was ill recently) and schools
