help with self assessment form

Hi I claimed a PPI refund and was paid the interest, less tax, the company sent me a R185 form, I am confused as to where I should enter the details on my self assessment tax form, I tried looking at the supplement page for trusts and assets, but cannot make head or tail of what applies, I have no actual earnings this year, just a small private pension, when you add both up I still come in below the taxable allowance, and am assuming I might get the tax back>

can anyone throw any light on the subject? thanks:(

3 Tailor your return. Page 2 of 3 first item interest put yes

UK interest should then appear on the index page of 4 Fill in your return.

Thank you for the reply, but the tax site keeps saying a R165 should be entered on Trusts and Settlements, I have just added a supplement page to my return and put the figure in box 16 which seems to be giving me the tax back.

Are you saying I should not need a supplement?

yes from what you have posted you have nothing in the way of trusts and settlements.
delete it
