I have had a call from the broker this morning after he's looked into our situation, asking for my Experian score,

Any broker who thinks that is important is an idiot. Get rid of them.

Hi thruglemir, yes thanks, we've had lots of advice about the CCJ from these forums so far. We just want to get on with our lives now, but that is looking more and more unlikely if we can't find a decent broker.

Then it should have pointed out that irrespective of the circumstances. The CCJ will very much a part of your lives for a while longer yet. A decent broker isn't going to be to able to magic up something that doesn't exist.

Sometimes time is the only healer.

    PS. I'm merely being factual.

CCJ will exclude most lenders but there are some who would consider.

Can't emphasise enough the need for a broker here. Speak to some and explain the scenario fully, including the adverse and employment.

Do not part with any money until there is a solution.

Don't go applying at random to lenders yourself as this will cause further harm to your credit score.

    Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for all your replies.
The new Broker says that we will know whether we can get a mortgage by lunchtime today so at least we won't be in limbo I guess.
I'll keep the thread updated incase it helps anyone else.
