Hi,
I am currently employed in a part time zero hours jobs which I want to move on from to something more settled and with regular hours.
I've found an ideal job that I know I would be great at but I am struggling to put together a good CV to get interviews with.
I am not sure what is wrong with it but, I always seem to get job offers from people meeting me rather than sending in my CV.
I'm on my own and have had no work for 2 weeks so can't really afford to spend much but was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable trustworthy CV writing service. The local training centre's that usually help have been shut down here so I feel a little lost.
I have about 50 browser tabs open with templates and ideas to write myself but I don't want it too look like a copy and paste job either!
Thanks in advance! :j

I don't know of any services but if you'd like some examples, I'd be happy to help and maybe give some pointers. I seem to get a fair amount of job interest with my Cv's

Have used CVCentre before they seemed ok. Worth the investment of £30/£50 for a CV if it helps your career or getting the right job.0

Hi there fbh
It’s interesting to hear that you get job offers from meeting potential employers but not through your CV. You obviously come over in a really positive way, face to face with potential employers, but you’re feeling your CV isn’t delivering the same positive message.
You could go for the option of a re-write but I’m wondering if a few tweaks to your current CV might make the difference. You could consider getting some feedback from a National Careers Service careers adviser, recruitment agency or even from a friend you trust for an honest and objective opinion. Even better if the friend works in human resources or runs their own business!
You could also review your own CV and consider how easy it is to read and how close a fit it is to the job you’re interested in. Is your CV clear, uncluttered and professional looking, have you highlighted relevant personal qualities, skills and experience?
I know it can help to have a look at some example CVs to get a basic picture of what employers might be looking for. You’ll find example CVs (along with CV templates) on a lot of the online job sites. You can also see some examples at https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/advice/getajob/cvs/Pages/formats.aspx .
Hope this helps!
