Last minute speciality marmalade MSE Style?

Options
Folks, I have been planning to make some cointreau marmalade but time has got away from me. There are a few friends who I always give a home made preserve to as part of their present.

When I make my own I add the alcohol when the marmalade is cooling so it doesn't evaporate.

Could I heat a jar of shop bought plain marmalade until it melts and add the cointreau to that?

Could I do the same with a jar of Roses Lime marmalade and some tequila - Margarita marmalade?

Is it cheating too much?

That is cheating and you can buy preserves with alcohol already in them.

Why not give them something else homemade instead like biscuits?
