So sorry, had to delete as realised identification was possible through information given. Thanks very much to those who have offered advice, it's really appreciated, just sorry no-one else will benefit from it.

Advice? She should give her notice as late as possible, otherwise she risks being given notice herself to finish earlier than she intended. IIRC, notice begins the day after it is handed in, so it should be handed in on the last working day before 30 Dec. Don't forget she will be entitled to holiday pay - or she may want to use up her holidays on return to work. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

She should also be entitled to full pay during the notice period even if off sick(employement act covers this).
This means the amount of pay won't change(other than a potential bit of holiday pay) and the loss of SSP she may want to resign earlier and have the week off. or just extend the sick, the GP will most likely do this.
She should have around a minimum of 7 days holiday accrued for the 3 months Oct-Dec so how many has she tken since starting.0 -

Sorry, we typed at the same time, she has taken almost all of her leave and has 2 days owing, I've explained further in my post below...0 -
How are they handling BH within the holiday allowance, are they accounted for in the taken holidays that she will be sick for?0

There's a question that neither of us thought of, I don't know and I don't think she knows either.
She needs to find these things out I think.0 -
Starting point is the holiday allowance and holiday year what was in the contract?0

She gets paid for the bank holidays coming up and I believe she has the 27th included as well, ie that day isn't taken from her annual leave, the office is on shutdown so it's an additional day.0
