Hi,
Call BC&W to find out what the deal is... If it comes to the worst, just hang up until you can compose yourself to discuss furtherthats what I'd probably do...
If it helps, I have a BC&W debt as part of my DMP and they've always been really cool with me, they're just happy that you're not running away and are trying to work with them.
Call them, it can't harm...

Okay thank you for your help & advice! It's hard to know what to do because the majority of things I've read about them is to avoid them, especially by telephone. Am I within my rights to try & sort this directly with n power and is it likely BC&W will turn up here?0

You can just deal with Npower if you like. BCW are VERY unlikely to turn up. If they do tell em to **** off.Still rolling rolling rolling......

Many of the things you read on here are the result of people not sticking to there repayment plans and not responding to letters.
If you prefer to pay Npower, call them and see what they say.0 -
Am I entitled to try and pay through n power & what do I do if n power refuse?
They accepted your last payment. See what happens when you do it again.
Why would they stop you from making payment? I thought that's what they wanted.
I would give a different answer if they had sold the debt to someone.0 -
If it were me, I would definitely be calling npower and asking them what the story is. They can then confirm that they will accept your payment as normal, or will tell you to call BCW as they now have the debt. Either way, at least you will have an answer. And I agree with others. If you are up front with debt collectors, don't ignore them and pay every month, then you have no problems. It's only when you start defaulting on a payment plan that the calls start coming.
Hope this helps a little bit.Always remember, every cloud has a silver lining:rotfl:0
