Friar Tucks Ginger Flavour

Ah childhood memories. My mother use to make us Friar Tuck's Ginger Ale every Christmas. A few weeks back I was in Sainsburys and spotted a small bottle, of course I had to have it.
When I took it home and read the ingredients I got a shock.
60 ml of concentrate
4 pints of water AND
 2 lb of sugar
Not good for diet
Seriously though anyone made this with a commercial sweetner, I think that amount of sugar is far to much especially as it will be on offer to children.

You could try making it yourself. It's easy and straight forward.
If you want it slightly alcoholic then this takes three days to make and will keep for three days. To save the faffing around with sterilising just use plastic water bottles, and most of their content, from the supermarket.

If you'd prefer it without alcohol, this recipe shouldn't take more than half an hour to make.
