Hi,
I flipped out at my manager for something yesterday, he caught me at the wrong time. I was then sent home, am I entitled to be paid for it?

I doubt it, but I'd be more worried about possible disciplinary when you go back.0

Paid for the time you didn't work? Or the time you did work?
Have you been dismissed for Gross Misconduct, or have you been sent home to calm down?"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -

I would guess after being suspended for a week then your card is marked and I'd be expecting a P45 for xmas.0 -
Use the week off to look for another Job, hopefully you get a result and can tell them to stick their disciplinary hearing lolThe World come on.....0

I wouldn't be so negative. What does 'flipped out' mean? If (for example) you hit your manager, then yes, I would expect to be dismissed. There's a range of other possibilities depending on how bad your behaviour was, and the norm in your workplace. Whilst doing some jobhunting this week is a good strategy, if you want to keep your job you could also send a letter of apology and outline any mitigating circumstances you would like taken into account.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

As your previous thread was asking about paternity leave I assume you have a young family to support.
So, I suggest you get a grip and appreciate how serious this issue is. You just seem to think this is a blip and talk of 'slapped wrists' like it is a joke.
You have dependents so grow up and stay professional at work otherwise your family will suffer for your antics.:hello:0 -
