Anyone know a reasonably prices eyeliner that doesn't smudge?

Hello,
I wondered if anyone can help me out? I don't know if it's just me but I seem to have problems getting eyeliner to stay on. I like to wear it just along the lower lash line as well as on the upper, but I always seem to end up with smudged eyes which is embarrassing.
Before I risk wasting more money I wondered if anyone knows a product that actually stays on? Reasonably priced if possible.
I've tried Rimmel scandal eyes waterproof, Boots no 17 kohl, Boots no 7 long lasting eyeliner, Avon gel eyeliner, Lancome eyeliner, Smashbox waterproof eyeliner.
Many thanks to anyone who can help
PS Please excuse typo in the title! I'm not able to correct it.

I guess no one has found an eyeliner that doesn't smudge then ...
Oh well, my quest shall continue ...0 -
Is it kohl pencil eyeliners you use as I thought the point of them was that they are blend able and therefore smudgy. Have you tried liquid eyeliner (I use bourjois 16 hour one) and if I want a smoky effect I use dark eyshadow on top to give a smudgy look that doesn't smear. For extra definition I use a wet brush to apply the shadow. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I find maybelline gel eyeliner extremely good, stays even on my waterlines for 12+ hours.
I do tend to do it before using my loose finishing powder, not sure if it makes a difference, it's just the order I do my makeup. The powder may set it though. On my waterline I set it with a basic black kohl pencil, it looks no different but I have found I need to set it.
You may also want to consider a primer, perhaps your skin is too oily or dry? The right primer may help.
May want to try those methods with any you already have, but I find gels to be the best liner, easier to get right too.0 -
Rimmel Exaggerate is the best reasonably priced one.
If you can stretch to it, MAC, always, always MAC.0 -
Thanks very much for your tips, much appreciated!

Maybelline Scandal'Eyes is amazing. Doesn't budge but you can still smudge it out yourself when first applied. I've used lots of high end eyeliners and even MAC gel and pencil both smudge after a few hours. Maybelline Gel and the Scandal'Eyes stay on all day.0

I use Benefit Badgirl liquid eyeliner and swear by it. I wear it for 12 hour shifts and its still on at the end of the day and after ive rubbed my eyes.0
