Have you ever spotted a recipe for gin & lime posset?

OH has asked for gin & lime posset for his birthday pudding. I made it once for a dinner party, back in 1984 or so, and we have never forgotten just how delicious it was (and that I disappeared before making the coffee and didn't wake up till morning). The recipe was from a magazine, it was a woman's magazine not a food one (did they even exist?). But I have hunted on google and not found anything. There are lots of lemon possets and lime possets and maybe I can come up with something, but I'm extremely busy all week and even shopping is a problem, so there's not much time to waste on experimenting.
I was hoping just someone here would remember it - not that it's exactly frugal!

Hello kune kune ( I am planning to pm you! )
I haven't, but I would start with Gary rhodes unbeatable, IMO, lemon posset recipe, turn in to a lime one and then introduce the gin to taste. Well, almost to taste.
What a super idea! I, think I might even borrow it if that's ok.....a rather humorous thing. , I might do a winter cocktail posset sometime over the season, thanks for the idea!0 -
The to taste bit was my undoing that previous occasion ...
Would love to hear from you.0 -
this is the nearest I could find.

I'd suggest making adding gin to a sugar syrup made of equal amount sugar and water and using that instead of sugar in your lime posset. So the amount of sugar in your recipe, equal water, boil to viscous syrup, add gin in proportion suggested in cranberry recipe when syrup has cooled, add to other ingredients, taste in case you need more sugar.0 -
No, but I like the sound of it!0
