Regular Competitions
& a couple of new ones posted lately
E: 31/12 Win prizes with the magic postbox (daily instant)
E: 24/12/13 - British Airways INSTANT WIN and ADVENT (ipads, kindles etc)
I usually search 'Instant win '
& generally they show but not always
xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I was just entering an instant win competition on the Good Housekeeping site and there isn't a lucky dip option, which I usually use, and the numbers available to select in all three boxes only go up to 83 but the winning sequence included numbers into the hundreds!
I often wondered if these are worth entering or not and judging by this it would seem they're not.No spam please I'm British!0 -

I never bother with magazine instant wins, unless I've got LOADS of time on my hands and spare entries to use up (ie. almost never!) I have only ever heard of one person winning on them ever, and the odds just seem too stacked against winning so I think they're a bit of a con.0 -
Ahem - I've won on instants. I have a gorgeous tee-short from Jennings brewery and I once won a kindle on an instant. I've won other more rubbish prizes too.
And on this thread Marg2k8 wrote that she won on the Abracadebra game.
I really enjoy the instants. But each to their own.

Sorry I wasn't meaning that people NEVER win on the instant win games, I've had a good few wins myself on them including mascara, chocolates, sweets and a hotel stay! I was referring specifically to the Magazine daily instant wins where you pick numbers, these I think are a load of old codswallop and like I said I've only ever heard of one winner, and that was indirectly due to someone linking back to an old winners post.0 -
Sorry. I didn't read what you said properly
I agree with you totally. I almost never do those ones either for the same reasons as you stated. The odds are not worth the time in my humbles.

Even if the numbers only went to 83 that still gives over 570,000 different combinations, but better than the odds on a couple other recent ones which were
a £1,000 cash prize 3,241,791
and the Mini a staggering 45,118,015

Yes the numbers you could choose only went up to 83 but the 'winning' numbers were something like 143-94-17, two were above 83!No spam please I'm British!0
