TESCO BANK MORTAGAGES - Supporting Documents

Anyone had any dealings with Tesco bank mortgages recently?
i've just sent through my supporting documents they requested after receiving my offer in principle. Well nervous now _pale_, as i've sent them a lot more documents then they have actually asked for and i'm nervous that this could go againts me.

They asked me for one month payslips and I've sent through three months as my last pay was slightly less then I normally get paid this is because my company deducted a parking fine of my salary and extra accessory I wanted on my company car which was £500. So i though I send through my last three months payslip instead of just one.

on top of the three month bank statements they've requested , I have also sent through copies of my savings account to accompany my bank statements as I'm always using my Authorized overdraft facility,35% of my authorized allowance every month to be precise. But this gets cleared when I get paid so i thought I'd send them my saving accounts statement to show that I have enough savings to pay it off should I need to.

With my supporting documents I've also included a cover letter to explain the reason behind sending the additional documents through which I thought was a good idea at the time.

What do you think, would this go againts me.?

I'm going to have no finger nails left in a few days.

    Hi there,

We recently remortgaged through Tesco and they seem quite reasonable about everything.
I think it was fine to send them additional payslips and explain why.
just as long as your explanation of your smaller months pay ties up with what is on your pay slip.
We also had to send bank statements and they specifically asked for all accounts (joint application) showing household income and expenditure.
I am not sure how they will view your overdraft use as we had not used ours but you have sent them additional info and hopefully they will accept that.
As someone who used to use my overdraft regularly without thinking of any implications (it does show on your credit file) I would think about using some of your savings to clear it for good. That may not affect this application but will help you in the future.
    Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply. Even though I use my overdraft facility it doesn't show up on my credit report probably because it gets cleared when my salary gets paid into it. I might ring them tomorrow and ask them if they want me to clear it. Hopefully I will find out next week if my application is approved. Thanks again

  • Just remortgaged aswell and they were great although delayed things when they didnt understand how to read my salary slips so had to resend things to prove salary and this triggered a request for some more stuff from the wife etc.

best thing about the process was you can phone them up and you get through stright away and can explain things to them rather than doing it all online.

Was quite impressed overall but glad I started the process off 10 weeks before though!
