Slow Cooker Potato Bake

Years ago I used to make something similar, used to call it cheese and potato mush! Used mashed potatoes, sweetcorn, tinned tomatoes, onions, pepper and loads of cheese. Layered it up and popped it in the oven, yum, think I'd sleep for hours if I had it now, heavy going me thinks! SG

oooooooo haven't done a spud bake for ages, I just bung in layers of thin sliced raw potatoes/diced onion/chopped bacon in a casserole dish adding herbs and pepper then I mix some tomato puree with water and spoon it over the top and cook in a low oven for a couple of hours with the lid on.
Last half hour or so I take the lid of and bung a huge handful of grated cheese on top to melt.

I love dauphinoise potatoes, with bacon layered on the top near the end and served with peas or French beans, so simple but beautiful.
