Hi guys,
I went Bankrupt on Dec 6 2012 and thought I would have gotten a letter when I was released but have heard nothing.
Should I have heard something by now?
Cheers

You don't get any sort of letter or notification for automatic discharge, as it is........ automatic.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi remember to go to the insolvency service site and your status will say discharged, this stays on for 3 months so I would suggest you print a copy off for your records.
its a good feeling getting to this stage!!0 -

A lot of people understandably assume you should. As automatic is automatic, the IS save costs and don't bother. If you hear nothing you can assume you are discharged.luvchocolate wrote: »Hi remember to go to the insolvency service site and your status will say discharged, this stays on for 3 months so I would suggest you print a copy off for your records.

Or as above ^^^ you can check your status online.
Make sure you click on your surname in the results list when you search as that is a link and takes you to the full record with current status.
Yes, very good plan to print that out as you disappear of the register 3 months after discharge.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Also, one can apply to the Court that granted the Petition for a letter of Discharge...but this will cost money [not sure of the current amount, probably nearly £70?}No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
