Occupational health..fit note....Manager threats..

Have you had a follow up appointment with your consultant? Have you progressed as s/he expected?
I, too, am surprised that you are seeing two physios - this is normally frowned on as the courses of treatment may conflict or place too much stress on the injury by excessive treatment.
What do you think is reasonable? Do you feel ready to return? If so, for how long?
You need to respond in writing to your manager; addressing the issues raised and emphasising that you did not refuse to attend work but purely wanted to ensure a safe and sustainable reintroduction back into the factory.:hello:0 -
A fit note is only advisory, it is up to the company to decide whether they go along with the advise given in it. It is not in any way legally binding.
OH look at different issues than primary practitioners (eg. GP/consultant) as they know your job role and the demands of it. However, their report should also be advisory.
The final decision should be made by management/HR. OH shouldn't be involved in any disciplinary decision (although are often used as a scapegoat by management).0 -

Yes I totally understand that it is only an advisory note. Just don't understand why from me saying that I would take occupational health's advice and see my GP, I get threatened like I have committed a crime etc.0 -
I take it your company has a occupational health scheme and doesn't just pay statutory sick pay. Unfortunately this is common, some companies have made cuts in most areas, that the only place left is the company sickness policy.0
