Older £5 presents posts

Options
I have spent hours searching for a verse in a post in the Christmas presents for £5 forum LAST YEAR , although it may have even been from earlier.

It was for a gift of broken biscuits swept into a brush & pan - along the lines of " I baked these and then accidentally dropped them - so not to waste them I am giving them to you because you are the only one who would understand that they were made with love" so that's the gist of it anyway!!

If anyone has or knows the verse or link I would be very grateful.

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • Wow, thank you for your reply, whitewing. This is it and reminds me that I should ask in future before wasting so much time and rely on the fantastic forum posters!!

  • I am looking for something similar. I'm fairly certain I saw it on MSE (or linked from MSE) last year.

It was a poem about broken cookies, but I think the gist of it was that the cookies were so tempting that I just had to eat them, and there were only crumbs left. I bought some cookie jars in M&S a few weeks ago (down to £3 from £15 :D) and I wanted to add the poem and a new packet of biscuits to them.
