It's commision-free in the strictest definition of the term.....as far as I'm aware, they build their cut into the rate that's offered. In my experience, these smaller, independent money exchanges tend to offer better rates on euro-sterling transfers as they can change £500,000 at a time with the banks, negotiate a better rate from them and pass the savings on to the customer. There are also three in Derry - one in the Foyleside Centre, one opposite the Strand Road police station and one in the large Dunnes Stores at Springtown (at least I think it's still there). These guys operate on the same principle but I don't think you can check their rates online.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

    Ask yourself why !!!!
  • Has anyone used the tesco's euro cash points? Are they competitive?
  • I've used the first trust cash machines facing the city hall and they give you the normal visa rate when you use a nationwide card.

The euro cash machines are really handy as it saves me having to use the machines in euro land!
