Just a quick query. Whenever I've been down to Newcastle central train station there is always a plethora of Taxis out the front, but it's usually a mid day week day time period.
Am I likely to be able to walk out at 10-11am time on a Sunday morning and pick up a taxi from the stands out the front?
I know it seems a daft question, but my local experience of our train station is there is either 5 waiting outside, or zero. 5 being roughly when a train comes up from London, or down from Scotland.

I've never known less than a couple dozen taxis outside Newcastle Central Station whenever the station was open0

Only 5 taxi cabs at your local station, and only when the London/Scotland train arrives? Sounds like you are not really used to the big city lights.
Maybe you should consider booking a cab to meet you on arrival? These big cities can be scary places for the unitiated.
They divant even speak English! :eek:0
